Development policies for Africa in the 1970’s

During the 1960’s in most tropical African states only extravagant lip-service was paid to the objectives of economic and social progress. It is hoped that in the 1970’s more concentrated attention to these objectives will be paid and coherent sets of policies to those ends will be formulated. Concern here is with national socio-political objectives in the 1970’s (part 1) and with some of the instrumental institutions of development (part 2). Notes.
