Abstract: | After a general description of the colonial system and the African elites, colonial education, and the colonial situation this paper examines and compares the views of Nyerere and Fanon on African development, decolonisation and African leadership. The conclusion is that they have similar basic views with regard to the problems of African development and leadership, but that they differ on the precise role of violence in the process of decolonisation, Notes. |
