Abstract: | In assessing the outlook for the administration of justice under the second Nigerian Republic, one should consider in retrospects the political significance of courts and police, particularly as these agencies affect the work of political development and nation-building. The author touches on problems concerning judicial independence and political power, the creation and integration of a national judiciary with state and local systems and the appointment, qualifications, and control of judges.
