Abstract: | There is now a noticeable tendency among scholars to shift the focus of their concern from national to sub-national topics: an increasing interest in urban politics, rural politics, urban-rural linkages, political development, developmental administration and a host of micro-studies. This bibliography attempts to chart this trend by assembling what has been published in the field of local politics in the period 1965-1969. It presents a fairly broad overview of English language publications during the period covered. The citations are arranged in seven categories: 1. Parties and elections – 2. Elites and leadership – 5. Interest groups, organizations and movements – 4. Political change and development – 5. Labor unions – 6. Administration and government – 7. Miscellaneous. |
