Abstract: | The published authorities on Kiganda religion are Gorju (1920), Kagwa (1901, 1905 and 1908), Nsimbi (1956) and Roscoe (1911). The present article is an attempt to piece together their evidence with such information as the author himself has been able to abtain – by occasional incursions rather than serious research – about the survival of traditional practices and beliefs in contemporary Buganda.
