Abstract: | Deals in the main with the transport of general goods and with some aspects of the relative position of rail and road carriers. After comparing the advantages of transport by rail with those of transport by road in general, the views of the South African Transport Consultative Committee on the role of the Railways are quoted. Hereafter the relationship of road and rail transport in Rhodesia, in its basic facts, is considered. |
