Abstract: | Presents statistical material – year of reference is 1963 – on the universities in the Africa of March, 1963, providing education for African students; on collaboration between and integration of institutions for higher education and on further expansion; on universities in South Africa; on the percentages of women to the total number of students in African universities; on the number of women qualified in Sudanese institutions, their several qualifications and professional employment. An appendix shows the number of African women in universities and university colleges, with the numbers of women students in each faculty, and an indication of the time when women started to enter these institutions. |
