EFFECTS OF BROKEN HOME ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project was to find out the effects of broken home on the academic performance of secondary school students in Ifelodun Local Government.
The following causes of broken homes were identified; inability to bear children, incompatibility of couples, the case of unwed mothers, physical violence in the family and single parenthood, too short period of courtship, early marriage, adultery, and etcetera. All these factors were found to be contributing to family dissolution in Ifelodun Local government Area of Osun State..
