A Phonological Study of Minimal Pairs in the Last One-Sixth of the Holy Qur’an
Abstract
The dissertation is titled:”A phonological study of minimal pairs in the the last one-sixth of the holy Qur’an”. The DISSERTATION present minimal pairs that occurred in the Qur’anic portion reflect to it identifications role of the phonems in the minimal pairs and the meanings of the words. The dissertation comprises five chapters and conclusion. The first chapter is an introduction which provides the topic, reasons, objectives, importance, Area of concentration, and dissertation method. The second chapter is a theoretical study on Arabic phonetics. The third chapter discusses phonemes and their types, meaning and terminologies. The forth chapter discovers the phonological role and semantic role related to antonyms in the last one-six of the Qur’an while the fifth chapter discovers the phonological and semantic role in relation to synonyms in the last one-sixth of the Qur’an.
